Jay Jakub is the Chief Advocacy Officer of the Economics of Mutuality (EoM) movement for the EoM Foundation in Geneva, Switzerland and is the Senior Client Advisor for the EoM Solutions consultancy, an EoM Foundation subsidiary. Jay also serves as a Strategic Advisor to the Richmond-based Thompson Family Office, which is constructing a smart city in Virginia, and is an Advisor to the Alliance on Corporate Purpose, which is developing a national framework and blueprint on corporate purpose for the Government of Singapore. He is a founding member of the Conscious Capitalism Senior Leaders Network.
Jay and his wife of 36+ years, Eleni, are co-founders of the Christian Healing Institute (CHI) in Falls Church, Virginia. Jay was the first board chairman of CHI and was trained as a healing prayer minister by Francis and Judith MacNutt at Christian Healing Ministries (CHM) in Jacksonville, Florida, and by The Falls Church Anglican’s (TFCA’s) healing prayer ministry in Northern Virginia. Jay and Eleni remain involved as healing prayer ministers and teachers at CHI, CHM, and TFCA, where Jay also served a three-year term as a church elder on the Vestry.
Jay co-authored the books, Completing Capitalism: Heal Business to Heal the World (Berrett-Koehler, 2017; CITIC Press, Beijing, 2018) and Putting Purpose into Practice: The Economics of Mutuality (Oxford University Press, March 2021). His doctorate is from Oxford University, St. John’s College. Jay is a frequent international business and Christian speaker, including at gatherings such as Kingdom Invasion in Singapore, and he and Eleni are planters of healing prayer ministries in places like Nairobi, Kenya, Waterloo, Belgium, Princeton University, and elsewhere.
Susan Wheeler Martosko is an international opera singer, a host of our Daily Connect, and friend of HCI.
