Step by step we will work towards developing an interactive relationship with Jesus using the Immanuel Approach in three stages:

First, each of us will cultivate our own Immanuel connection with Jesus. One of the best ways to do this is to develop three to five strong, positive memories. I encourage you to write them down and return to them often to color in sensory details.  In other words, add details to the memory until the connection is as strong as possible. There is no substitute for spending time with Immanuel. Like a mother bonding with her baby, it happens over time. Our end goal is to develop a secure attachment to Jesus, one that will undergird all of life and enable us to trust him with our whole hearts.

Secondly, we want to learn how to lead a joyful Immanuel exercise for groups of people. We do this daily at Daily Connect. I encourage you to attend as often as you can so you can see this modeled for you. Pay attention to what helps or hinders you in connecting to Jesus.

Thirdly, we will learn how to use the Immanuel Approach to minister to another individual both in joy and in sorrow.

Being able to focus on Jesus and interact with him about every aspect of life is the most important skill we can have for all of life. Therefore, our Leadership Development (LD) group is going to focus on learning to do Immanuel well for the next 12 lessons.
