We are delighted to welcome you back for our second year of Leadership Development! This year-long journey invites participants to refine their Immanuel skills through hands-on practice, explore their own paths of maturity with insights from Relational Maturity by Betsy Stalcup, and discover how to support one another through life's challenges in Facing Life’s Losses by Betsy Stalcup.
Discover additional information about each of these classes, and register below. You will be with the same group of community and leaders from Year One, and our deep hope is that you will grow stronger roots with our compassionate Creator.
Classes
Immanuel Practice Sessions
This is an opportunity to put everything you’ve learned in your Immanuel Prayer Training into practice! In these interactive sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to both lead and receive Immanuel Prayer, gain experience navigating moments when a session becomes challenging, and grow in confidence as you facilitate. Together, you’ll become better equipped to create a safe and welcoming space for others to encounter our living God—and make room for Him to do what only He can do.
Relational Maturity, by Betsy Stalcup
Why do we keep responding in the same ways—even when we genuinely want to change? In this 13-week class, you’ll discover how relational maturity develops, where you may have gotten stuck, and how those gaps can shape your emotions, relationships, reactions, and ability to navigate life. You’ll explore the five stages of relational maturity, identify your strengths and areas for growth, understand attachment patterns and triggers, and discover why simply knowing what to do isn’t always enough to create lasting change. Through self-assessments, interactive exercises, stories, small-group connection, and Immanuel practices, you’ll gain practical tools to grow in emotional resilience, build healthier relationships, and better understand yourself and others. Most importantly, you’ll discover hope—that it’s never too late to heal, grow, and become more fully the person God created you to be.
Facing Life’s Losses, by Betsy Stalcup
Life brings painful losses that need to be grieved, yet our culture often doesn’t give us the space, support, or tools we need to face our pain and move through it. In this interactive 12-week course, we’ll explore what we grieve and how we grieve, while creating a safe space to process loss with God. Through reflection, journaling, and honest conversations with Him, we’ll gently explore regrets, forgiveness, anger, and the many emotions that can accompany grief. As we move through the grieving process together, we’ll learn how to bring our pain to God and, when we’re ready, surrender our sadness to Him—making room for healing, hope, and a renewed sense of freedom.

Location: Online via Zoom. (Zoom link will be sent to registrants before class starts.)

All your workbooks will be provided in your registration fee expect for some additional reading that will go along with Facing Life’s Losses. Please purchase the books, referenced and quoted extensively in this curriculum, A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser, and Joyful Journaling by Dr. James E. Wilder lll. Pricing
Over the past year, we've had financial shortcomings month after month while also discovering that our generous donors have also been covering over 80% of HCI's operational costs. We've additionally seen similar organizations charge between $500 and $900 for programs like the 8-week Immanuel training. As we move forward, we are adjusting our pricing for Leadership Development to $499. If everyone participates at this new rate, we will nearly cover the total cost of $7,200 to run the class.
However, since you are already part of our previous model, we want to honor that relationship. We want to ensure that no one is excluded from the Leadership Development program. If you are in a position to contribute more than the $499 fee we are asking, it would greatly assist those in our group who may struggle with the higher cost, while also helping HCI achieve financial balance for our class. Your generosity can make a significant difference in fostering inclusivity and support within our community.
