This ten-week program is built to inspire, instruct, and engage. You'll access thoughtfully designed content and connect with fellow students who share your drive and curiosity. Most importantly, you'll grow — the path through this course is one of real transformation, and the community around you makes that possible.
How to Get the Most Out of this Class
Be supportive. Your fellow students are here to learn, not to be critiqued. Encouragement goes a long way — save the criticism and unsolicited advice for somewhere else.
Share openly. Your experiences and stories have value. What you've lived through might be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.
Think constructively. Help each other see bigger possibilities, reframe obstacles, and stay curious. We're here to lift each other up.
Keep it genuine. This space exists for learning. Spam, self-promotion, and trolling have no place here.
Class Schedule
There will be four phases of this program.
Phase One: Orientation & Preparation // JULY 9 – SEPTEMBER 1
July 9: Orientation meeting with Betsy at 4:00-5:30pm.
July 10–September 1 · Orient yourself toward the work ahead by familiarizing yourself with the Relational Spirituality framework:
REQUIRED: Watch all five videos in Dr. Todd Hall’s Relational Spirituality Essentials Each video takes less than ten minutes.
SUGGESTED:
Read one or both of Dr. Hall’s books: Relational Spirituality or The Connected Life.

PHASE TWO: Journal & Share // SEPTEMBER 3 – NOVEMBER 19
Each Thursday from 4:00-5:30pm EST alternates between solo and group work — one week you'll receive a journaling prompt to complete on your own, and the next we'll gather as a full group before breaking into smaller groups of three to share your reflections, thoughts, and feelings. Tentative class schedule below.

December 3: A link for the Spiritual Transformation Inventory (STI). will be sent to your inbox — a meaningful closing step to reflect on your growth throughout the program.
December 10: Intro to STI and Soul Care.
PHASE FOUR: Applying Soul Care // Coming in 2027
Become more securely attached to God and others through applying Soul Care.

Facilitator
BETSY STALCUP is the founder and executive director of Healing Center International. Her dream is to see centers of healthy, healing community spring up around the world, where people can grow to love and trust Jesus with their whole hearts. She earned a B.S. and M.S. from UC Santa Cruz and a Ph.D. from Stanford University. She was married to Sam Stalcup for 38 years until his passing in May 2024. They have six adult children, including two sons-in-law and a new daughter-in-law, as well as two granddaughters. And a dog named Olivia. She has trained under Dr. Todd Hall in his Relational Spirituality Coaching program, and is now ready to bring some of this life-changing training to you!
CINDY BROWNING joined the HCI community in 2018, longing to enrich her prayer life. She was drawn to the HCI relational approach to spiritual and emotional growth through practices like Immanuel Prayer, small group sharing and listening. She currently assists in leading Leadership Development at HCI and is actively involved in confessional community work through CBK (The Center for Being Known) while currently completing facilitator certification. She recently completed an Attachment Coaching Certification through Biola University's RSCC program. She is a wife to Pete and mother to John, Christine and David.
